Overview
Rad Limited Group asked us to design a series of luxury lodges that would take advantage of the stunning loch side views at their existing hotel and spa in East Ayrshire.
The purpose of the project was to expand upon the existing hotel facilities and provide versatile accommodation that caters for larger groups, supporting the events and weddings at the main hotel.

We drew inspiration from the design language of the existing hotel to arrive at the concept for the lodges.
Our clients' enthusiasm to produce a bespoke design with a contemporary twist on the traditional lodge gave us the freedom to explore an open plan layout that would be unique in the current marketplace.
We delivered a high quality, open plan sociable living solution, drawing inspiration from the design language of the existing hotel. We focussed particularly on framing views and enhancing light and space with the introduction of full-height atriums and roof-lights over the entrance space.
Materials and finishes
The material choice combines the soft rural textures of wood and slate whilst introducing contemporary elements in the form of porcelain tiles and powder-coated aluminium window frames. The result is a sophisticated, quality space that feels welcoming, relaxed and luxurious.
Outcome
Orientated towards the view of the loch, each lodge provides combined indoor and outdoor living with balconies and large canopies, allowing guests to enjoy the rural location and scenic views.
